Light-rail campaign volunteer opportunities

October 24, 2008

We are less than two weeks away from the November general election and a vote on light rail in both Kansas City and North Kansas City, Missouri. Volunteers are needed to fulfill a variety of campaign roles over the next 10 days. A list of those opportunities is provided below. Contact Greg Lever, 816-668-7188, if you have questions or would like to volunteer.

In addition, the media continues to cover the light rail campaign. Pasted below the volunteer opportunities is an article from the Kansas City Star reporting on a joint news conference held by Kansas City Mayor Mark Funkhouser and North Kansas City Mayor Gene Bruns at which they reiterate their commitment to a regional transportation system with this rail starter line as the spine.
