Top 10 reasons to avoid kcICON construction

If you're still looking for a New Year's resolution, you might want to adopt the policy of avoiding the I-29/35 corridor leading into downtown whenever possible. Here are 10 reasons to consider using alternate routes:
1. Watching the gas gauge drop while sitting in traffic is almost as depressing as watching Wall Street numbers drop.
2. A jogger on the Riverfront Park trail made it to downtown before you.
3. It's a chance for you to drive over the Heart of America Bridge and ask, "What is that other metal bridge for?"
4. You don't like the color orange.
5. Time saved not sitting in construction traffic better spent waiting in line at the grocery store or holding on the line for the next available customer service agent.
6. Constant braking makes it difficult to keep your latte upright.
7. Changing lanes always conjures up the image of Tony Stewart putting someone into the wall.
8. There's more trucks than a Stuckey's parking lot.
9. You've heard the same song three times during your morning commute and you haven't changed the radio station.
10. Telecommuting is more convenient — read your e-mail, participate in conference call and check out bridge construction via Web cam at www.kcicon.com.
