Kansas Governor announces transportation task force
Kansas Gov. Kathleen Sebelius announced the creation of a transportation task force called "Transportation Leveraging Investments in Kansas" (T-LINK), which will develop recommendations for the state's next transportation program. The RTA will advocate a greater role and more state funding for transit. You can too! NKC chooses Burlington for light rail

Burlington Street is the desired location among North Kansas City leaders for the city’s stretch of a proposed 14-mile light-rail starter route. After a meeting with the city’s Planning Commission last week, the City Council voted unanimously to make Burlington Street the preferred alignment for the proposed starter route, which will go before Kansas City voters in November. City joins coalition to purchase Rock Island
